The Far Side is an installation of three tapestry pieces hanged. Zarfsaz has made it her own by consciously embroidering through the texts to redefine its meaning. Often struck by the sardonic nature of daily conventions, Zarfsaz’s work is a visual criticism on how reality can sometimes be so satirical, it is as if it has been written beforehand. The embroideries act as seeds, growing through the holes of the text, altering the manifesto that metaphorically written to become truer to reality.
