A language can be defined as the means used by people to communicate with each other; it might be verbal or in the form of gestures or it might be in the written form. Language is considered to be an innate ability of human beings.
Moreover, A language is part of culture and of course it is, so when we are talking about the evaluation of languages actually we are mentioning the evaluation of cultures. Language is the imitation like everything else. Languages always change, and we know that slang changes as well but it’s hard to be aware because of its slow process, as a result, gradually one language turning to another. The other process is consonant weakening and disappearing. But, vowels don’t only weaken and disappear but shifting around and that’s the normal process too, and that’s how we hear people have different accents but over time they can make a language very different from what it was.
Immigrants in Bergsjön are approximately 29 percent of the population in the urban area of the Gothenburg in Sweden. They came from, Somalia, Syria, Turkey, Iran and Iraq. This means a combination of 3, 4 and probably five languages in the area, Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Swedish and English and inevitable affects in languages. This multi lingual-ism gradually changes the tone and dialect of the languages during the years. My effort in this project is visualizing this metamorphosis of languages regarding to the different languages which are spoken in Bergsjön area.
