The photo installation of “Blue Yonder” displays series of images that was developed during the course of Zarfsaz’s three-month residency at Yarat Studios. Every day the artist would take a picture of the sky from the same point of reference. Inspired by a cultural expression that insinuates the consistency of the sky’s colour, irrelevant of the place, the changes in colour exposed in the installation reveal the gradual consequences of pollution. Ultimately, it presents concern about harmful practices occurring on land.
